AlphaWolf Basketball will be branching out this fall with some great back-to-school programming. The following programs are open to all players regardless of residence or club membership. PUP BASKETBALL Instructional Clinics for grades K-1 or 1-2. A great way to get familiar with the rules and basic skills needed to play the game. A great program where kids learn in a fun environment. Competitive level is low as skill development and rule comprehension is the main focus. 27.5 or 28.5 ball is used on 9 or 10 foot hoop (pending ability).
ROOKIE BASKETBALL Instruction shifts to game comprehension and team skills as instructors focus on the full court game. Topics covered are: In-bound plays, transition offense/defense, passing, picks and screens and other team concepts. Competitive level is moderate. Games are played in a short regular season. 28.5 ball on 10-foot hoops. Click the CLINICS link to see times and locations!
FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS GIRLS BASKETBALL Coach Vickie leads our 4th-6th grade girls every Friday. She offers the right amount of skill instruction and game play as she prepares the girls for middle school basketball. All skill levels are welcome! The first few weeks are skill development sessions. after that, girls are broken up onto teams and games are played. Competitive level is moderate to low.
LEGENDS BASKETBALL LEAGUE For boys entering grades 9-10, this is a great primer to their high school season. The league focuses mainly on just playing games. each team gets 2-3 practices and 6 games guaranteed. Our season ends in late October so as not to conflict with any school try-outs. Games are Saturdays in Birmingham. Competitive level is moderate to high. Call 248-203-3800 to register or www.communityed.net
