MISSION STATEMENT:
It is our goal to provide organized and entertaining programs so that young athletes can develop skills through superior instruction and competitive interaction.
PURPOSE
STATEMENT:
More and more children are choosing to play team sports and are doing so at a much younger age. This increase is putting a high demand on qualified instructors, coaches and volunteers. The AlphaWolf Athletic Company strives to ensure that only positive influences are directed toward our children. We utilize only qualified, motivated and proven individuals who can help build a positive framework from which young athletes can grow. Currently, over 75% of our summer camp staff is composed of former AlphaWolf participants.
WHAT DO WE DO?
We provide athletic programming to facilities and organizations in Southeast Michigan. We specialize in basketball and conduct high quality camps, clinics, tournaments and leagues at various host sites. We provide one-on-one and group sport-specific instruction, coaching clinics, and have our own referee training program. We also offer employment and internship opportunities for kids entering 7th grade and up.
CHARITY ASSISTANCE:
The AlphaWolf Athletic Company has pledged to be a valuable part of our community by assisting several local charities. We have worked with the Ronald McDonald House, The Judson Center, MDA, Kids Kicking Cancer and the American Lung Association. These organizations provide wonderful assistance to children and families who are going through difficult times. Throughout the year, AlphaWolf will conduct special fundraisers where 100% of all money collected will go to assisting local charities. To date, we have donated over $8400. We are also offer the AlphaWolf Scholarship Program. This is designed to reward children who have spent significant time in our athletic programs.
ALPHAWOLF
PRESIDENT / CEO:
AlphaWolf was founded by Geo Thomas, a man who has emerged as "leader of the pack" in youth sports programming. A 1989 graduate of Central Michigan University, he quickly established a reputation for being an innovative and insightful programmer. After gaining valuable experience from CMU Sports Camps and the South Oakland YMCA, He was offered the Sports Director position at the Franklin Athletic Club in Southfield. From 1995-2001, he created and maintained 21 new sports programs that saw over 11,000 participants. He has coached several high school and AAU basketball teams and is regarded as one of the finest youth basketball instructors in the state. When Franklin chose to downsize their athletic program in the fall of 2001, "Coach Geo" created the AlphaWolf Athletic Company. Since then, over 5900 young athletes have been a part of the AlphaWolf pack. Geo has been happily married for seven years to his wife Jennifer. They have a future AlphaWolf star in their four-year-old son Jake.
ON THE HORIZON:
The AlphaWolf Athletic Company is in the process of taking its initial steps in the development of a new facility in South Oakland County. It is our goal that by the fall of 2008, the "AlphaWolf Arena" will be a home to many future stars of the court. As we seek investors, both private and public, we are preparing to make the biggest move in AlphaWolf history.
